The Christian Democratic Party, led by our Party Chaplain Ps Andrew Green, is calling for a day of earnest prayer with fasting that Almighty God might send some much needed rain over the bushfire areas.
We are doing all we can do with all our modern technologies to bring these devastating fires to an end. However, we have come to a point where we need some divine help. Would you join with us tomorrow as we humble ourselves before Almighty God that as we seek His help and kindness that He will send rain. Let us also pray for all those volunteers who are putting their lives at risk as they battle these fires. We also support the call By Storage King in Penrith for bottled water, baby food, cloth nappies and ordinary nappies. The Salvation Army is also running a Bushfire appeal at every Westpac bank branch. James 5:17-18 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain on the land for three and half years. 18 Again he prayed and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
