With the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George due to arrive
within a few days, our young monarchists are gearing up to hand out the thousands of Australian flags we have purchased at our own cost and our highly trained spokespersons are already engaged in many media interviews. The Royals will be departing New Zealand on Wednesday 16 April at around 1 pm their time and will arrive in Sydney that early afternoon. More details will be placed onto our website as the date nears. The Royal Party will drive straight to the Sydney Opera House where they will attend a reception after which they will boat to Admiralty House where they will be staying for the several days they are spending in and around Sydney. Our young monarchists will be out in force at the Opera House handing out flags. If you are there, please do give them a warm welcome. The next day, Thursday 17 April, the Duke and Duchess will drive up to the Blue Mountains, where they will visit one of the bushfire-affected streets, probably in Springwood. They will then meet with community leaders and firefighters and will then do a bit of sightseeing. On Friday 18 April, they will be at the Royal Easter Show in the morning and will visit the Bear Cottage Children’s Hospice and then they will attend a surf lifesaving demonstration, both in Manly. More information will be posted on to our new Royal Tour website which can be found at: www.royalvisit.com.au and other details will be mailed out to members in a couple of days. Regrettably, we are not receiving any assistance from the various protocol offices who are not even bothering to reply to our letters! Members might recall that the same thing had been occurring in previous Royal visits, but monarchists should no longer be sidelined by the bureaucracy now that we have a monarchist as Prime Minister! In fact, we now have it on good authority that when the names of monarchists (not necessarily from the League) and loyalists were put forward, protocol people said “No Way!” Therefore, we have to proceed on our own, because nothing must prevent this Royal Tour from being a tremendous success. In this regard, we have launched a huge campaign to promote our Royal Tour website: www.royalvisit.com.au and several of our young people have been working assiduously towards this end. For those of you who are on Facebook and Twitter. Please give consideration to joining in Brant’s and Rachel's campaign to ensure that this website is one of the most visited during the Royal tour by joining their thunderclap promotion. They must have another fifty people joining the campaign to enable details of the site to be sent to tens of thousands of Facebook, Twitter and other social media members: https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/10553-royal-visit-2014 A message from Brant, who is our National Deputy Chair for Young Monarchists, is copied below. Brant gives a brief description of what thunderclap is and how it works. Yours sincerely Philip Benwell National Chair Australian Monarchist League <저작권자 ⓒ christianreview 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
