ACL backs’ mainstream gays’ support of mum and dad for kids

Comments supporting the rights of children to their mother and father wherever possible by mainstream gay fashion designers Dolce and Gabbana have been welcomed by the Australian Christian Lobby.
“It is disappointing to see the intolerant backlash against the mother and father family structure by Elton John and other advocates for redefining marriage,” ACL Managing Director Lyle Shelton said.
“Surely there can be a free debate about the bond between a mother and her baby, something that must be severed by alternative family structures,” Mr Shelton said.
“If people want to argue for removing children from their mother or father, fine, but mount an argument – don’t try to shut down debate,” Mr Shelton said.
