The Energy Assistance Payment is a one off payment of:
- $75 for singles
- $62.50 for each eligible member of a couple
- $75 for each eligible member of a couple who are living apart due to ill health.
If you’re eligible, we’ll pay the amount straight into your bank account. You don’t need to contact us or do anything. If you are eligible, we’ll pay this automatically in to your account.
Energy Assistance Payments will be paid in June 2019
If you were getting an eligible payment on 2 April 2019, we’ll pay you an Energy Assistance Payment by 30 June 2019.
The Energy Assistance Payment is a one off payment. It’s $75 for singles and $62.50 for each eligible member of a couple.
On 2 April 2019 you must have been getting 1 of these payments:
- ABSTUDY Living Allowance
- Austudy
- Age Pension
- Carer Payment
- Disability Support Pension
- Double Orphan Pension
- Farm Household Allowance
- Newstart Allowance
- Parenting Payment Partnered
- Parenting Payment Single
- Partner Allowance
- Sickness Allowance
- Special Benefit
- Widow Allowance
- Widow B Pension
- Wife Pension
- Youth Allowance.
There’s nothing you need to do. If you’re eligible, we’ll pay you automatically.
If your payment was $0 on 2 April 2019, you’re not eligible.
